On January 1st, 2010, the Tradewinds & Atlantic Railroad increased fares to $1 per person, regardless of the rider's age. This is our first fare increase ever, and we kept it as low as possible. We sent notices to all the area media outlets and tried to make sure that everyone got the word, but some of the media just haven't changed their copy. We have no control over this and we hate to disappoint folks, but here's the scoop: All riders pay $1 per train ride, no matter what the newspaper/magazine/flyer/TV/radio says.

Thanks for your cooperation!

No, we're not going out of business! A visitor just wrote in, saying they had heard the Tradewinds & Atlantic Railroad would be closing due to lack of funding. Not True! We do not have funding issues and we will be open the weekend of June 19th and 20th as always!

The Tradewinds & Atlantic Railroad is funded solely by your ticket purchases and membership dues. We do not receive funding from any government other than being allowed to use the land we occupy inside Tradewinds Park.
